security patch

I down loaded patch # KB832894 but it dosnt install when i
go back to the update page it says i still need it. second
i cant start my computer in safe mode. I tryed making a
start up disk but when i boot to the disk and hit safe mode
i get the A: prompt. any ideas....
 
try just looking for that patch, not using update, then
download it. don't know about the disk, hit f8 when your
booting.
