security pack 2

I have recently downloaded the security pack 2 for XP...
and since i have two connections to the internet.. one
from my provider and the other that was created by the
security pack... is this normal ??

What connection was created by the security pack.
what is the name given to it in the network connection window. and where
does it point to and does it have the same settings as ur default connection.
