Security of database

Hi

I have a database with a split front end and back end.

In the database there are various forms for entering and viewing data upon
which I have various command buttons, some are for manouvering around the
database and some are for inputing new records etc.

I have just created groups and users for security.

One of my groups is for users who can only read data.

I was wondering if it is possible to remove the buttons on the forms, for
inputting data, to prevent the read only users from even trying to input
data. I appreciate I could just remove the buttons on the front end for the
read only users, but this would be long winded.
Currently this is not a problem but there will be 'read only' people who try
and input data and that is when the questions will arise.

Any thoughts greatfully received

Richard
