Security Levels In "Zones"

OK...XP....with SP2 installed.....and running OK so far ..if I can just
tweak the IE6 security settings

Does anyone know if there is a list as of what each security level
(low,med
low,med...) actually does.
Does choosing one of these and hitting the reset button just change the
individual list items that can be checked manually....or are there other
settings that changing from med-low to medium affects...ie....settings
under
the advanced tab????
Is there perhaps a list somewhere whickh might discuss the relative merits
of each level......

Second question.....Why when I switch to medium in a certain zone....then
close out......when I jusp back in to tools>Internet
options>security>custom
levels....does the level always say "high".....is this perhaps the default
and it is trying to get you to go back...or is this perhaps a bug of some
sort????

Go to help and support, type in security levels. MS has over 15 articles on
the subject explaining what each level does.

Several security/anti-hijacking applications may be disallowing the changes
to "stick". These can include Spybot S&D and suites by Norton (NSW, NIS)
and McAfee (MSC).
