Using IE6 SP2 with XPPro SP2

In tools>internet options>security>restricted sites. Is there any way
to set the security level lower than "medium"? It won't let me.

Thanks

That would defeat the purpose of Restricted Sites zone, doncha think?

I probably asked the wrong question. This is what just started to
happen.

When I go to some of my favorite pages some of the ads are blocked now
with that "server was refused to connection to this page" page in
place of where the ad would be. Not only that, each ad that would of
been there is now included as a link to it in my "Back" button. Here
is a screen shot of one I am getting from my Excite page:

http://ronnietown.com/back.jpg

So now when I click the back button IE goes to each one of those
links, where nothing loads, before I get back to the page I want.

This just started happening. I do not have the pop-blocker running or
any other "ad blocker".

Any ideas why this is happening and how to stop it?

Thanks!!

Again, read about the improvements SP2 has added, Forked:

What you're seeing is default behaviour in WinXP SP2. Consider it a new
Windows version.

I finally solved the problem.

I am not sure which program it was but either Pest Patrol or Webroot's
SpySweeper had put a hostfile on my system with sites that it
considered to belong there where I never had one before.

I removed the sites from the file that I wanted to let through and it
is all fixed now.

Thanks for your replies.

YW. Hopefully you only removed specific entries from HOSTS but be careful.
There's a reason they were there! See...

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?

Still, the Back button behaviour itself as you described it is default
behaviour in SP2.
