Why or how Win XP pro can access files on w2ksp4 PC without user account and
password on w2k system???

Do you have the Guest account turned on?
Do you have access for the share on the W2KSP4 set to Everyone?

Hi again,

Win XP Pro doesn't belong to the common workgroup with w2ksp4 machine.
May it be a stupid installation bug of OEM's, like Admninistrator password
has been "Enter" on both machine?
While w2k machine Administrator name and password I have renamed ...
