Dale

I'm receiving a number of notifications that my emails
were undeliverable ... from a variety of servers.

The problem is that I've not sent email to these addresses
and they are not in my book. All of them are addressed to
an alpha-numeric string such as qrvsp5di@ ...

I recently found trojan Delf.b and eleminated it using
Symantic ... MY PcCillin and Symantic programs detect no
other problems.

I've disabled outlook and my yahoo manager requires
passwords....

Any ideas on how I might be sending these emails and how I
can stop them?

Thanks
Dale

In all likelihood, you're not sending them, Dale. There are a number of
virus/trojan's out there that harvest e-mail addresses from the infected
computer's address book, TIF and other locations, and use those in the To
and From lines of the message that they send out to other users.

If you examine the properties of the e-mail messages that were returned,
you'll see that the originating IP address doesn't match yours, in all
probability.

Keep your antivirus software up to date and scan your system regularly.

Thanks Doug ... I guess I'll just keep deleting the
bounces. I've been using TrendMicros PC-cillin to check
regularly for virus/trojans.... Is PC-cillin considered
one of the better programs, or should I consider someone
else.?
Thanks
dale

I don't know that PC-cillin is any better or worse than any other. I've
used Norton and Panda and have few if any problems, other user's will have
different stories to tell.
