Security Device

I have a Tochiba Satellite 1410-304 lap top running Windows XP Home in
Portuguese.

I need to use a programme that requires a "dongle" or security device to be
connected to the parallel port.

However, the dongle is not recognised by the computer - after 3 minutes, I
get the message "Security Device Not Found" and the programme closes.

It works on other computers, but not the Toshiba. Can I download something
to correct this?

You will need to get in touch with the people who wrote the program. It
is almost certainly using some means of reading from the parallel port
directly which XP does not allow
