Useing Windows Media Player (2005) Xp Pro. SP2
Trying to open (C:) drive/documents and settings, shows DEP message windows
has closed program, followed by Windows Explorer, Error signature
EventType : BEX P1 : explorer.exe P2 : 6.0.2900.3156 P3 : 466fc588
P4 : unknown P5 : 0.0.0.0 P6 : 00000000 P7 : 452d4339
P8 : c0000005 P9 : 00000008

Trying to open Disk Cleanup same with Error signature
EventType : BEX P1 : cleanmgr.exe P2 : 6.0.2900.2180 P3 : 41107c82
P4 : unknown P5 : 0.0.0.0 P6 : 00000000 P7 : 452d4339
P8 : c0000005 P9 : 00000008
Changeing the DEP settings has no effect.
Have run several virus scans they come up clean.
Just one user account administrator + system have full control, Creator
Owner at Local Disk (C:) Propertys/Security/ shows no boxes checked on
"allow" list ,on advanced tab shows, full control /subfolders and files only.
User settings has three boxes checked, while on advanced tab there are three
diffrent listings under users,
1. read&execute this folder/subfolders/files
2. cereate folders/append data this folder/subfolders
3. create files/write data subfloders only
~all six are listed as <not inherited>~
Is that enough or the right type of information for anyone to tell if it's a
configuration related?
How do you reset all to default to see if that corrects the problem or not?
If thats not what it is any other ideas to correct it?
Thanks for your time... Devo out
