We have over 200 users connected to the same server. Only 1 is encountering
this problem. When she first opens Windows Mail, she gets the error:
The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that could
not be verified. THer certificate CN name does not match the passed value.
She does not get this error message when she sends/receives - only once when
she first starts the program.
We have confirmed with the server admin that the security certificate is
correct. And all other users (using Outlook, Outlook Express, or Windows
Mail) are not having any issues. This is the first and only time we've
encountered this issue.
We are using secure settings (SMTP 465 and POP 995). I've already tried
deleting and recreating the account on the outside chance that would solve
it. That had no effect. I've also tried setting up that account on another
computer and didn't get an error.
Since this problem seems to be isolated to one computer, is there a setting
on the computer that could be causing this?
