security center has stopped runing

i have a window xp and my security center has stopped running and and i
cant remove an old antivirus software and it seems it is hidden. any clues
or suggestions since it is not in my aad/ remove programs anymore.

Suggestion #1: Ask in a discussion group for Windows XP. This group is for
..NET C++ programming issues.

Try this to find an XP group:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/

In the tree on the left, open English, then open Windows. In the Windows
subcategory, find and open the Windows XP subcategory. Find
a group there for your question.
