Securing a file so only I can open it

Hello
I am running windows XP and I have an external Hard drive which contains
some files that I would like to secure. When I right click on the folder,
and go to sharing and security, the "make this folder private" is greyed out
and not accessible.
Any idea's on how to fix this??

You can only make files/folders private in your user profile. See:
