I can't visit secured web sites anymore. Can anyone help?
I have Windows XP. I used to be a dialup user and was
able to visited secured sites fine. But last week, I
switched to DSL and after the installation I couldn't
even access the SBCYahoo registration server. I ended up
registering over the phone with SBC Yahoo's tech support,
just to get the account up and running, so now I can
visit any unsecured site, but if I try to log onto a
secured site, I get a simple message that says ``This
page cannot be displayed.'' I've tried it with several
secured web sites and the response is always the same. I
called SBC tech support many times, and went over the
checklist of secured settings under ``Tools'' and
``Internet options.'' Their tech support is now
suggesting that I uninstall Internet Explorer and
reinstall, but I don't want to do that if I can avoid it.
