Secure login Fails w IE 6.0

I have downloaded and installed the latest Verion of IE6
form Microsoft. Version 6.0.2800.1106 Update version SP1;
q313829, to try to remidy this problem, did not fix.

Running on Win 98 (4.14.1998) I cannot login to Hotmail.

I have set all the Advanced options to default and set
Security settings to defalt low.

What is the is causing the hang? Java, cookie, some data
not being sent back to server,etc? How can I diagnose?

Present workaround downloaded Netscape 7.1, which works fine.

I have the same problem with IE 6.0.2600.000.xpclient.
Maybe someone will help me also. Can't login to any

I too have the same problem as Nancy. I've searched high
and low for a solution, but can't find one yet that works.
Surely someone at Microsoft has encountered this and knows
the answer.

one has a solution.. please help. Dont make me go and use
netscaoe (oh god) Microsoft tech people lend a hand

Well,
add another to the group. One of my customers is having
the same problem. She thinks it may have started after she
oked an update? If I run into an answer I will repost.

Here's a suggestion. In our office we were having the same problem
of IE with what I read here.

We installed "Microsoft Client". After that IE worked fine for us.
