I am unable to download files from the internet through
IE 6.0. I am using IE 6.0 version
6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633. When I attempt to
download a file, the file name is changed automatically
by IE 6.0 to either "attachment.php" or "filedown.asp".
If I try to open the file rather than save the file I get
a script error which says there was an internal server
error and the download stops. If I save the file with
either of these two names, the file is invalid and is not
recognized.
I tried downloading identical files with Netscape 7.1 and
have no problem whatsoever. I am running Windows XP
Professional as an OS.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
