Seconday drive 1 not found

I have a dell dimension 2400 that I tried to install service pack 2
on. well apparently I didn't have all the updates adn I begain to get
the c0000135 error stating winsrv was not found and to reinstall
application. Well in trying to fix that problem I think I somehow
created another as whatever screen I try to get to off of the windows
start up page (F2, F12,F8) I can get the screen withthe menus but no
matter what option I choose I get the message secondary drive 1 not
found F1 to continue and F2 to run setup utility. But when I press F1
the message just repeats itself and when I hit F2 nothing happens. Can
you tell me how to get back to the privious settings where it boots to
my primary drive?

Youre primary boot drive can be changed thru the BIOS,priority boot device
or similiar....Also,for F8 option (safe-mode),tap the F8 key immediatly on
starting pc,or on restart.

yes but I don't know how to get back there. my only options seem to be
F1 where the message repeats, even when I tap F8
