second window minimized

When I click on an open URL in windows XP explorer, it
opens second (third etc) windows as minimized. How can
this be set so that these windows are not minimized?

Internet Explorer is opening up the new window according to the position
internet explorer was last closed in. Open internet explorer to your home
page by going start > Internet (explorer). Maximise it then close it by
going file > close.
