Hi, Randy.
Just boot into the good copy of WinXP and delete the "boot folder" of the
bad one. The boot folder is named \Windows, by default, but it can be
different. If you try to delete the one you're using, WinXP will refuse.
The boot folder on the second HD MIGHT be D:\Windows, depending on your
drive letter assignments.
If Windows Explorer refuses to delete that folder, you can open a "DOS"
window from WinXP and use the old Remove Directory command to delete the
entire folder, including all subfolders and files in a single command. At
the Command prompt, type: rd D:\Windows /s and then tell it Yes, you're
sure. (Be sure you're sure you have the right folder first, of course.)
You probably also want to remove the line in C:\boot.ini that points to that
deleted folder, too. There are several ways to do this: use Notepad; click
the Edit button in System Properties | Advanced | Startup and Recovery; or
run msconfig.exe, click the Boot.ini tab and click Check all boot paths.
