I have over 50 distribution lists. When I make a change to a contact,
I want the change to update the contact in the distribution list(s) at
the same time. If this can not be done I would at like to see all of
the distribution list(s) where this contact appears.

I have to open each list, which is very time consuming.

What version of Outlook?

In theory, when you click the "Update Now" button in a DL, it will update
the DL with the changes you made to any Contact who is a member of the DL.
In reality, that works very rarely and only if both the Contact and DL
reside in the original information store in which both were created.
Membership in a DL is not a property of a Contact Record, so there is no way
to view all the DL's to which a Contact belongs.
DL's were never developed to be robust or reliable and never will be. Savvy
Outlook users look for alternatives for grouping recipients.

You can want it, but it won't happen. DLs are not connected to the contacts
in any way. Use categories instead.
