Searching for words in many documents

Hello all

I have thousands of Word documents whereby I need to do regular searches for
specific words to find certain documents. I have been using the XP search
feature to search for specific words but it takes minutes at a time to
complete a search. Is there a third party program out there that can index
all the words in multiple Word documents to complete searches quicker?

How about Google's desktop search engine which will index everything on your
hard drive?

I just installed it and its perfect. I heard about Google Desktop but never
thought about it.
