searching for files

I've recently upgraded to XP (from ME) and Im having some issues with searching for files. Note, I am currently using the "classic" interface for searching, so it acts like the old ME search except for the issue below

Every time I search for a file, the results are in a frame with he following columns: name, in folder, RELEVANCE, size, and type. There has never been any info in the relevance column, and i DON'T want to see it, I want to see date modified....EVERY time from now on. I've tried to adjust this in the menus VIEW>CHOOSE DETAILS; and also in TOOLS>FOLDER OPTIONS>VIEW> etc but it always reverts

Can anyone tell me how to make search always show date modified instead of relevance?

If you're an avid searcher, consider testing this freeware utility. Most
who have consider it to be far superior to XP's built-in tools...

There does not seem to be one. It annoys me too. You are by the way
using the same search engine in classic mode - all it changes is the
interface to it.

You might like to put in a request at

Or use a third party tool - the one at www.agentransack.com is widely
recommended
