.
SearchExe manual removal:
Delete registry values:
Browse to the key:
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \
CurrentVersion \ Run'
Delete the value 'Search-Exe'

Delete directories:
se

never used this myself came from web site
http://www.2-spyware.com/parasite-searchexe.html

Manual removal
Please follow the instructions below if you would like to
remove SearchExe manually. Please notice that you must
follow the instructions very carefully and delete
everything that is mentioned. In most cases the removal
will fail if one single item is not deleted. If SearchExe
remains on your system after stepping through the removal
instructions, please double-check by stepping through
them again.
Start the registry editor. This is done by clicking Start
then Run. (The Run dialog will appear.) Type regedit and
click OK. (The registry editor will open.)
Browse to the key:
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \
CurrentVersion \ Run'
In the right pane, delete the value called 'Search-Exe',
if it exists.
Exit the registry editor.
Restart your computer.
Start Windows Explorer and delete:
%ProgramsDir%\se\
Note: %ProgramsDir% is a variable. By default, this is
C:\Program Files.
Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
In Internet Explorer, click Tools -> Internet Options.
Click the Programs tab -> Reset Web Settings
That should get rid of it.

I have the same problem, but I don't understand this part of the fix. ??

Start Windows Explorer and delete:
%ProgramsDir%\se\
Note: %ProgramsDir% is a variable. By default, this is
C:\Program Files.

What do you not understand?

It's this parasite. Which site are you quoting from

You can probably run these tools to remove it.
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
