how to get rid of some plug-in that changes my home page

Genti Hila

Hi list,

Please help me. I just clicked yes when I opened a website
and I was asked to answer yes or no to a plug-in
installation I think. Now my home page from google has
become http://searchexe.com and some toolbar appears as
well and a toolset shows up on the screen just like the
Microsoft Office toolset.
Please, I am feeling very frustrated with all of that. Help
me, give me some idea what to do. I cannot see any thing on
installed programs or even in Control Panel Add remove
programs so i can remove it. I even went through registry
and deleted every entry with searchexe but still it comes
up immediately when I reboot the computer.

Please help !!!!! Any idea or suggestion is deeply appreciated.

.
don't worry this can be fixed by - first selecting the
webpage you want your browser to start in - then go to
tools/internet options/ then look at the top - use
current - when you click this your current website that
you like will show up - then go to the bottom - click
apply and then OK - try this first

Genti,
searchexe.com = C2Media/Lop.com (parasite)
Did you install P2P "BitTorrent 3"?

I don't think I installed bittorrent. I do not know how
this entered in my pc, but the one who is suggesting just
to reset the home site is completely wrong because every
time i start up it shows the same web searchexe.com and a
lot of other garbage.
Even the suggestin to use CWShredder didn't really help.
Do you have any idea ?

What is bothering me a lot is that IE cannot be
uninstalled like any other program and that reinstall it
and fix the problems.
