I have been having problems with a program on my computer called
"Search_Glow". It only manifest itself when I attempt to shut-down my
computer. I rceive a warning telling me that the program is not responding. I
have attempted to search for it in the registry and a system search but to no
avail. I am unable to find it. Windows Defender does not indicate its
presence and Norton Anti-virus does not see it either. Does anyone know what
this program does or where it is located?

Google Search is a good tool.

To Nass;
Norton is current and is up to date. I will follow your suggestions. Thanks
for the info and assistance.

To Nass;

I really do appreciate your help and my solution is this, after reading some
stuff on the web about "Search_Glow", to replace Microsoft Live Toolbar with
Yahoo! Search Toolbar. Hopefully the problem will go away. Micorsoft need to
get on th J-Ob and fix this annoying problem.

To Rock;

Thanks and as I have told Nass, I will replace the toolbar with Yahoo!
Toolbar and hope Microsoft will repair theirs.

I can't see Microsoft Live toolbar is causing the problem here, because you
allowed something to be hooked on your browser.
Thanks for the feedback and any help you know your way.
Regards,
nass

This has nothing to do with Microsoft. Somehow you allowed this to be
installed.

This is not an MS problem.

Dear Rock;

If Search_Glow is a part of Windows Live Toolbar then it IS a MS problem. I
solved my problem by removing Windows Live Toolbar from my computer. And
since I removed it I have had no problems with Search_Glow. From what I
understand, MS is aware of the problem and possibly a fix is some where is
the undetermined future. I was not trying to thrash MS. I was just stating a
fact. Thank you for taking the time to help me with my problem. Your effort
is well apprciated.

The point is It is not a part of the tool bar. It came in some other way.
That's why I said it's not an MS problem.

Every indication on the web is that Search_Glow is directly tied to the
Windows Live Toolbar.

The program showed up immediately after installation of the toolbar, and
only then.

Now, maybe it's attached to one of the buttons that I use and you don't. But
the issue is clearly attached to the MS toolbar or its installer.
