Folks

Is there any way to search a PST when the index are not complete ?

I have recently migrated to Vista and the indexing is still crawling
gently trough my 1.5 Gb PST. However I still need to search ! Is there
a way to perform an old fashioned, slow but effective search ?!

Any help welcome !

You can disable indexing on that pst-file via Tools-> Options-> Search
Options...
Enable it again when you're done with the computer. You can leave it on
overnight to complete the indexing.

Sadly you can't have both indexed searches and non-indexed searches
available to you at the same time.

Thanks - it did the trick !

I would think that Outlook should propose to revert ton "classic"
search when indexing is incomplete (while informing the user about
it)...

Same here :-)
It would also be handy for troubleshooting purposes.
