Search window keeps popping up.

i have a very unusual problem. everytime i click on a
folder or a shortcut my search window pops up. I am only
able to open folders by right clicking on folder and
clicking open. I have a ibm laptop running windowsxp pro
Please help if this has happened to you. i have already
uninstalled my mouse software and went all through the
folder options.
