Hello.
I have a question about saving searches in Windows XP Pro.
I'm performing searches via the Search tool, which I access via
right-clicking the Start menu button.
I want to search the Documents and Settings folder, including all
subfolders, for all .wab files. So, I use *.wab as the search
criteria. I also select the options for Search System Folders, and
the option for Search Hidden Files and Folders.
After I get my results, I go into File/Save Search, and save the
search.
Later, I double-click the .fnd file that contains the saved search,
but it didn't save the criteria I select, except for *.wab.
The Look In box selects "Local Hard Drives," and the Search Hidden
Files and Folders option is unchecked.
I would like to save ALL of the configurations I made. Is this
possible? If so, what's the procedure? Do I need to use a different
tool or method to preserve the Look In folder I originally selected?
If I cannot save all of the parameters I've selected, then is there a
third-party freeware tool I can use, that will save every parameter
I've mentioned?
Thank you very much!
