Search text of web site

HI,
I have a web that I a working on that is on a personnel computer and I
publish it to a server. The server is MS2003 and runs 2002 server
extensions. I am using Frontpage 2003 towork on and publish the website.

When I have added the search component to a search page and I got to the
Search Properties and the Search Results page I can only see the page that
looks like it thinks it is FrontPage text indexing(basically two sections
Results and display Options.) I want to be able to use the server indexing
that I have set up (The dialogue box starts with the Scope of the search. I
did set up the indexing onthe server and it is working.

I checked the _vti_script folder and there are no files in it.

I had been doing this on the working copy, but then someone said I need to
be working on the copy actually on the server to be able to get to the server
indexing. I have done that too and it does not work. I get error messages
saying I need to publish the component.

You can view the examples at http://snr-0563.unl.edu/search.asp (component)
and http://snr-0563.unl.edu/searchtest.html(the search page template)
Any ideas what I am doing wrong.
Thanks.

Have you built a Index Catalog on the server via Index Server? If you need additional help with
this, suggest you post to the Index Server newsgroup.

Yes the Index Catalog is built and it works.
So what is the next step so that I can see it? Is there something that I
need to do in Frontpage or something else so that I can get Frontpage to Find
the Index Catalog?

The FP Search Component doesn't change it's look or functionality when using Index Server. If you
want more control or flexibility you will have custom code your search using ASP and you will need
to post to the Index Server Newsgroup or search the internet for help with that.

To assist you in getting the best answers for FrontPage support see:

.
The FrontPage search is problematic at best. I use a freed
search facility from www.master.com You can see it at:
