Search Results do not return anything

I've added a search component on my web of forms and
documents. I have the Indexing service running on the web
server. When I query the catalog on the server, I get the
expected results. But when I search from a client, I get
no results. I looked in the search.idq file on the server
and the cicatalog entry is <ows:SubCatalogName/>. Does
this have to point to the physical path of the catalog?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
