Help!, i have that search portal bug!. (Control
Panel/Internet Properties-General-Homepage.) No matter
how many times i set my homepage to something else(yahoo,
msn, netscape, or blank), i can do it, but as soon as i
close the control panel, then open it again www.search
portal.info/cjpartner2 is back in the Homepage spot!!!.
Also, if i click on Windows Update in my start menu, i
never get there, because, watching the address bar, i
see "search portal", then blank page. Tried system
restore, but it's still there. How can i rid my pc of
this bug?. (i have windows xp home sp1.

Download and run a good program to eliminate spyware "phone home" programs.
One you have it cleaned out, set your security settings where they should be
to avoid getting it messed up again. Once you are completely clean of all
viruses and spyware, defrag, reboot and download SP2 and follow the
suggestions it will give you on keeping your system safer for you and us.
