Search option gone in Start Menu

When I click on start and go to Search all my search
option are gone. I can still search on them in windows
explorer. I am up to date on all windows updates and
service packs. Does anyone know how to reset or add back
in the search options in the start menu?

Hi Ken

Enter regedit and look for the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explore
r

There should be an entry named NoFind with a value of 1. If you find it, set
it to 0 and restart your computer.

However, be sure to backup your registry before altering keys there.

Well I did that. The Search option is there but there are
no search features in the menu.The menu is empty. Please
let me know if you have any other ideas.
