When I do a search in XP, one of 2 things happens:
99% of time: nothing happens - if I view Task Manager the
status of the search task is "Not Responding". The main
thing has to do with size of hard disk. It can search a
CD ok, but my HD partitions are between 1 gig and 28
gigs, and it cannot search them. It has nothing to do
with whether I'm looking for a word or phrase in the file.
1% of time: it searches. The problem here is that it
searches and searches and searches. It finds multiple
copies of the same file. It either never quits, or maybe
it searches a certain number of times, and I always stop
it before it finishes.
