It's supposed to start searching before you are finished. Does it not allow you to type after any specific amount of characters?

J Jon May 4, 2007 #5 If you don't like the option, then you can configure it via Control Panel (classic view) > Folder Options > Search > Uncheck 'Find Partial Matches' Personally I like the feature and keep it enabled.
