I have the same problem I have seen posted here. On a search from the address bar I get an HTTP:///? whatever and a page not found message. I have tried all the suggested fixes with AdAware, Spybot, CWshredder, Hijack This, all to no avail.
I even did the registry restore patch that is affered. No good

I am running IE6 on an XP machine. Anyone have more ideas? please?!?

Ramesh,
I originally used RestoreSearch2.reg. This didn't help. I just applied the IEFIX.reg. It didn't help either. Any other ideas you have will be greatly appreciated. This drives me nuts!

Was the problem caused after installing AOL 9.0, by any chance?
