search FP2003 GoDaddy.com

Hi guys, I created a site for my church www.stpaul-florin.org and with FP2003
on a WXP HE w/SP2 and have it hosted on GoDaddy.com. on Premium Hosting with
Windows/ASP. You've helped me throughout the creation process and I'm very
appreciative of your assistance. Now I need more.

It's been up for about a month or so and after some initial problems
everything was working fine. Today the search engine for the site (web
component) is returning this error:

Error from search: can't open the word hash file
d:\hosting\stpaul\_vti_txt\default.wti\All.dct

No documents found. Please try again.

I alerted GoDaddy and they said it was a FP code issue and they couldn't
advise.

I've asked them to investigate further because there've been no changes to
the code on this page since inception.

Does this sound as if they need to do something with the Index Server and
catalog? Or, do I infact, have something wrong with the code. Again, the site
is at www.stpaul-florin.org We're right near the end of our beta testing
and hope to go public by the end of this month. I really would like to get
this right. TIA

Cheers,
Judy

And now, I just got this note back from GoDaddy.com support:

The document will need to be added to the MINE types in order for the search
to work properly. This is a script developing issue, please keep in mind
customer support is not able to assist in the creation or troubleshooting.

What does this mean...other than they won't help me?

Ask them to delete the Index catalog and create a new one. If they will not do this, then it is time
to find another Windows web host that supports Index Server.

Thank you Thomas, I've asked them to do this and to bump it up to a
supervisor. I've had varying degrees of luck with GoDaddy support. Mostly
they've been very quick and good, however, once in a while someone finds it
easier to say "no" or "its not my problem" rather than trying to help. It is
frustrating to me. But the price is what the church wants to
pay........what's that old adage.....oh yehhhhh. As always, I appreciate
your help.
