Please interpret this error message

What is happening behind the scenes when I get this error message from
the FP search bot?

With respect to the FP extensions -- the hit counters are still
working.

It appears it is looking for index server, as some Frontpage-generated
search engines use the Index service to perform searches. There must be a
catalog in the Index Service that contains the web content. Have you
contacted your host?
