search form not working

I've been using FrontPage's search form on my site, and
it's been working fine. However, I recently made some
changes to the site, and now I'm getting this error
message when I try to search for anything:

"Error from search: can't open the word hash file
d:\64.227.221.46\_vti_txt\default.wti\All.dct

No documents found. Please try again."

I've deleted the search form and reinserted it, updated
the publication, and reinstalled FrontPage extensions, but
nothing seems to help. Any suggestions?

I tried the fixes suggested in this link, but I'm still
getting the same error. There's one thing I can't do,
though. On the "Reset the Dependency Databases"
instructions, it tells me to delete a number of files from
the \_vti_txt\default.wti folder. I can't find that folder
either on my hard drive or on the site. Am I missing
something? It does say that this article applies to FP 97,
and I'm running FP 2000, if that makes a difference.

To see the _vt* files you need to access your host server w/ their control panel or an FTP program
