Search files

How are Vista "Search result files" used. Is if safe to delete thse files?
Are they automatically cleaned up and deleted?

They are an assembly of files existing on the locations indicated by the
view. If you delete them, you are removing those files from your system.
Deleting the FOLDERS of the 'Searches' folder is not the same.

Go to Start orb/all programs/accessories/run, and type:
%userprofile%/searches

The folders can be deleted harmlessly, but not the files within them.
