"Search" files and folders not responding

When I clicked on the ' search' files and folders today, my computer froze
for about 30 seconds and then nothing happened, no window opened, no options,
nothing. I havent used this since I installed the SP2, and I cant seem to
find an answer anywhere. Any ideas on what the problem might be? I am not
using the 'search dog' but I never did before and this wasnt a problem HELP!
