Inbox not responding

I can access News Groups on Outlook Express however today my Inbox won`t
resond.
It shows that I have mail but when I try to access it the hourglass appears
but nothing happens.
After about 30 secs or so the prog stops responding and I have to use
control alt del to quit.Using XP Home with SP2.
Note: My system had no problems since applying SP2 a week ago. This "fault"
has appeared today.
( I`m on 512 Broadband)
Any help appreciated.
 
Same here; about 20 minutes ago.
Was perfectly fine til now. I have more than one email account and I can't
access any through Outlook Express except Hotmail
I have tried a couple of ISPs, same story.
Loaded SP2 on to XP Pro a few days ago, no problem til now.
 
Just tried Outlook, same thing.
Could it be something to do with the Firewall??
 
Was able to access emails through ISP.
Been trying OE all afternoon.
Was able to open it 5mins ago.....now I can`t.
Still confused.
(Outgoing mail OK as is NewsGroup access)
 
Seems to be okay now but I wonder what caused it.....
a fault between the server and my PC?
