Search Engine - possible for website?

Brenda

I use FrontPage 2003. I would like to add a search engine so a person can
search all my pages for a specific word or name.

Is it possible to do this? My web host is GoDaddy.com. I have installed
Front Page Extensions.

Thank you,

You can possible do this with the FP search component. Have you tried that
one out?

I have not tried anything out, to be honest, because I didn't know where to
start. I'll check that out.

Thank you very much,
Brenda

The easy option; seeings you have the FPSE installed, is to use the
FrontPage Search functionality. This can be a chore to get setup on GoDaddy
though. Other options would be to use 3rd party search options, such as
Google which offers a site search

Mike - thank you. I like easy. I will probably try to get it setup on
GoDaddy, and eventually give up and use Google. I did not know they offered
a site search.

this is actually nicer looking than Google's search component you can
install on your site:
http://search.live.com/siteowner
if you need help with it post back.
you basically just copy the code live.com provides, set your cursor where
you want the search to appear, click insert/ web component/ advanced
control/ HTML. in that HTML mark-up dialog paste the code you copied in
step 1.

you'll find plenty of it here!
I fooled around with that live.com search feature and it was very easy and a
really nice appearance.
