Search Companion not working

I receive a notice when Search Companion is opened that a
component is missing; went to MS and downloaded a patch
for problem, only to be told that patch won't work if
Service Pack is installed (which it is SP2), Any ideas?

well, SP2 was already installed- I see no fixes for in
the list for this problem- any other ideas? Thanks.
