Search Companion buggy

My attempts to use the Search Companion to find a certain
string INSIDE file is not working correctly. It is
finding FILENAMES that include the string, but not files
that have the string inside.

The file types I am searching, by the way, are Python
source code *.py files. They're pretty much text files.

Anyone know why this happens and how to remedy?

under "more advanced options" and "other search options"

Try changing the following setting, it will fix your problem

In the Search Companion window
1.Click on “Change Preferencesâ€
2.In Change Preferences, Select the indexing service setting option (the text for this option is different depending on whether indexing is enabled or not)
3.Then click on “Change Indexing service settings (Advanced)â€. A new window with name “Indexing Service†is opened
4.In the menu of this window, click on “Action†-> “Propertiesâ€. In the generation tab, make sure “Index files with unknown extensions†is checked
