search companion blank

I have been searching for a solution for some time now
with no answer. When start, search. files and folders is
selected I get a blank window. I have found the kb
article explainining how to reinstall search companion
but it does not work. The patch that fixes another patch
does not work also. Any help? XP SP1 updated.

Tried it with no luck, thanks for the reply. The blue bar on top is even
blank. I have searched google with no luck also.........
