Search Assistant Puppy

[Sick Search Pupply]

My client has an issue I cannot seem to put a stop to they are using Windows
XP Pro on a LAN workgroup. The newer computer is constantly slowed to a crwal
by that annoying puppy coming up. Help me turn that little rascal to manual
so she can get some work done.

TweakUI/Explorer Tab/Settings/Use Classic Search...

Disable Search Assistant - Windows Explorer

Start/Run/Regedit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CabinetState.
In the right pane, look for or create a string value called: Use Search Asst
set the value to: no

Internet Explorer:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
Same value: Use Search Asst and the same setting.
