SDI2HD removes all existing partitions

We have a HDD that has two partitions, a data partition and the operating
system partition.

If we want to re-install the operating system using SDI2HD is will also
destroy the data partition
and make the data inaccessible. We don't want to do that. How do we
re-install the opertaing system
while leaving the data partition alone.

Assume we are doing field upgrades.
 
Hi Daniel.

If you have created image file from your OS partition only. Then boot from external medium and write all data from image file over
OS partition (not over the whole disk).

You can boot to DOS, Win XPe, Win PE, or custom update_bootloader.
You can use your simple program or any program (based on OS choice) that can copy image file to selected partition.
