When I removed a SCSI device (Netgear SC101) from my ethernet network the
device drive letters were reassigned. The SD reader is now assigned to
letters N and L. N is not a problem but L is. L is already assigned to my DVD
reader/writer. I can play DVD's but not write to DVD's. I don't know if this
is relevant but the DVD icon at L has been replaced by a SD reader icon. But
if I right click it I can choose to use DLA. The SD reader icon at N doesn't
offer such a chose nor should it.

Click Start / Run / diskmgmt.msc, then re-assign your drive letters
the way you like them.
