SD Card Slot to USB.

Hi – I know this has nothing to do with XP but I need some brain
power to solve this:
My hi fi only has an SD Card Slot and I want to hear my mp3 player
which like most has a USB plug on it. I can’t understand why they think
a card slot is more preferable to a USB port as it has been possible to
get USB card readers for ages now. But I have yet to see a Card Slot
to USB converter yet. Thanks - Andrew

There are sd cards that have a usb plug on them, they fold in half to
expose the plug. this is the opposite of what you need though and i
havent seen what you need.

Much of this can be attributed to the different trade
organizations that use different devices and each one of
them have their own priorities. An USB plug might not be
important in a consumer-oriented industry with dedicated
equipment. OTOH, it behooved the computer industry to be
very adaptable in order to access as many of the different
types of media.

Yeah, thanks. - Have seen them, what I need to use one is a USB female to
female extension if there is such a thing. - Andrew

Thanks for the Cable Store site, unfortunately I’m based in the UK and I
noticed they
don’t seem to cater for deliveries other than in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Anyway, I now know it’s possible to obtain one.
By the way, the http address should have finished: ID=590 as ID=678 is a USB
Audio and Video Combo Adapter at $94.90 against $2.90 for the female/female
adapter.

Thanks once again. - Andrew
