I've just got a Toshiba 2450 notebook (I like in England)
nd it has a SD card reader in the side. When I insert my
card nothing happens. I don't know if this is a Windows
thing or a Toshiba thing, but Toshiba don't have a
customer/technical service e-mail address. The only
evidence of the SD card being installed is the listing in
the Device Manager. I've tried to download updated
drivers from Toshiba, but that did nothing. I haven't
heard anything about Windows XP creating a drive letter
to access the card when one is inserted, but I would have
thought it would be like any other drive, or Toshiba
would have said something in the User Guide (which they
don't). Hope someone can help.
Thanks

be assigned a drive letter. Does it do so in your PC?

I have an earlier model Satellite which has a Smart Media card reader, and
it appears as E:\
