scvhost.exe problems

Hello all,
Recently I have been getting an erroe mesage
that "scvhost.exe has caused an error and the program
(windows 2000) must be restarted". At first this only
happened when connected via a dial up connection, but now
it happens right after start up. Anyone have any
suggestions? Thanks in advance

Victor,

I have come across this a number of times, and each time the comnputer had the Blaster worm. You need to try to download the fix from Windows Update. It is update KB823980 if I have it right. If you are unable to find it. Drop me an email and I will send it to you.
